Elden Street Players Win Five WATCH Awards
The Elden Street Players received five awards from the Washington Area Theatre Community Honors (WATCH) for artistic and technical excellence in Community Theater. The Elden Street Players performed in Herndon for over 25 years. In September 2013, the Elden Street Players became the professional level NextStop Theatre Company performing at the Industrial Strength Theater, 269 Sunset Park Drive, Herndon.

Be inspired as "Tom Foolery" takes audiences into the world of Tom Lehrer who delighted so many with his musically-based attacks and banter on everything, both high-brow and low. The time is the 1960s, when there were "few if any restrictions to what could be said about life, but always with tongue-in-cheek" said Adriana Hardy, director of the Elden Street Players (ESP) production.

Shakespeare Comes to Alden
American Shakespeare Center performs a double-bill of the Bard celebrating his 450th birthday.
In such a Shakespeare-rich area, "no one does it like the American Shakespeare Center...Shakespeare is so alive in their hands," said Sarah N. Schallern, Performing Arts Director, the Alden at the McLean Community Center. "They have quite a fan base, and to be able to host them in our beautiful, intimate Alden Theatre is a joy and an honor."

Celebrating 25 years of "combining bold direction with extraordinary artistry" the Elden Street Players' new season will be one "with a strong focus on shows that intrigue and provoke thought for our audiences," said Angie Anderson, the artistic director. The season opener is "The Clean House" a Pulitzer Prize finalist by Sarah Ruhl. The show is a fusion of tart comedy and heartfelt drama, fantasy and daily life.
